We had calm waters today and spirits were high, for the most part visibility was a quarter to half a km in distance. Both trips today we were fortunate to see approximately 26 Pacific white-sided dolphins. We also saw about 22 Dall’s porpoises and 1 Harbour porpoise.

As we cruised along the water we spotted a Minke whale in the distance. We were able to snap some great pictures of the Minke whales flank to send to local researchers. We were especially excited as not much is known about the Minke Whale.

Lounging on the rocks we saw 30 Harbour seals and 1 Steller sea lion. We saw a great variety of marine birds as well, some include Rhinoceros auklets, Bald eagles, Surf scoters and Pelagic cormorant. All in all in was a fantastic day out on the water.
