Our guests were pleased to be able to view approximately 4 river otters before they even left the Cove! It was a little windy in Telegraph Cove today, but luckily it was calmer out on the water in Blackfish sound, and the rain held off until about halfway through our tour.
The tour today took our guests approximately 46 kilometers through the Broughton Archipelago, where they were able to experience the fantastic scenery that this area has to offer. Passengers were delighted to see several areas where Harbour seals were hauled out on rocks and 3 Steller sea lions were swimming near the shore in kelp beds.
We were also happy to be able to view a black bear as it foraged on the beach, as well as a plethora of sea birds including: common murres, harlequin ducks, bald eagles, whine-winged scoters, and a pelagic cormorant.
